CREATING A "VISION" FOR REGINA EASTVIEW

The Strategic Priorities Slide from Today
Led by President Jack Wozniak, PR Committee Director Jenna Raimbault and PR Member and Technical Guru, Kevin Hayes, this 2nd Business meeting in a month took us into the world of looking at the RC of Regina Eastview in 10 plus years. Three weeks ago we were asked the question, "Why?" - Why did we join Rotary; Why are we now passionate about Rotary? As a follow up to those conversations, members were invited to submit a "Vision" statement imagined for the Club in 10 years. From the 6 statements received, organizers prepared 3 Vision Statement options, which attendees were to review as a table group, select a preferred option and "massage" it into a final group effort and hand this back to the organizers.

Option 1: A diverse and engaged group that is reflective of our community’s demographics and welcoming to everyone, our club would enjoy working together, and inspiring each other and the community to become better human beings that are actively working to make the world a better place.

Option 2:The Rotary Club of Regina Eastview members work together to improve the lives of the people in our community and the world through programs that support and empower the youth and most vulnerable.

Option 3: The Rotary Club of Regina Eastview works hard to change the community and the world.

Feedback from today's table groups will lead to the drafting of a VISION for Regina Eastview, creating a picture of what we will be in a decade. It will be the starting point for that age old question posed in Alice in Wonderland,  "Where do we go from here?"
Jenna Raimbault, Jack Wozniak, Kevin Hayes
Using Rotary International's four (4) Strategic Priorities - i) Increase Our Impact; ii) Expand Our Reach; iii) Elevate The Experience; and, iv) Become More Strategic - as a template, Jack and Jenna used information gleaned from the early January Member Survey to define how this could be addressed.
From the surveys, it is clear 97% of our Club want a "strategic" multi-year Strategic Plan, and nearly 50% of the members believe we could improve our existing Committee Structure.

Based on this level of support and encouragement President Jack will be recommending to the February 20th Directors Meeting that a Strategic Planning Committee be established to lead the Planning effort. The expectation is for a Strategic Plan to be in place in 2 months from its establish-ment.

Peter Neufeldt expressed our collective appreciation to Jack and Jenna for their leadership in moving us on a journey of change.
