A CONVERSATION WITH RYLA STUDENT, AMOU DIEU
Following a welcome to all and the Land Acknowledgement by President Jayna, Past President Al Hoeft introduced Eastview's 2025 RYLA student, Amou Dieu. Accompanied by Mother Teresa School Guidance Counsellor, Becky Bernhardt, Amou spoke about her time at RYLA. Becky noted that for a number of years a student has attended RYLA and for all the experience has been a positive life-giving time meeting other students in a safe environment all wanting to return again next year. Amou learned resliance (in a conoe), developed communication skills, love of sports, a perspective on how others think. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity. She learned not to give up, to reach out for help, communicated with teachers and students, developed confidence all leading to development of leadership skills. At our meeting she experienced responding to questions from adults.
Thank you for visiting with us Amou and Becky. Hearing your gratitude and positive comments, warms the hearts of Rotarians and keeps us doing what we do. It is true--RYLA does have a ripple effect!

From TRF newsletter to members: The Rotary Foundation is proud to announce that we have recently received a four-star rating — the highest level possible — for the 17th consecutive year from Charity Navigator, an independent charity evaluator in the United States.
We owe this success to the unwavering support and dedication of individuals like you. Thank you for being a crucial part of what makes our Foundation a powerful force for meaningful change and lasting impact through service.
Charity Navigator determines its ratings by examining how nonprofits use their funds, how sustainable their programs are, and how well they adhere to industry standards of transparency and accountability.
FROM REGINA EASTVIEW--Well done Rotary and Rotarians everywhere.
FELLOWSHIP HIGHLIGHTS
President Jayna began a discussion with members detailing how she is developing a plan to involve members in in-person meetings i.e assign roles such as greeter, register attendees and receive payments, give the land acknowledgement and more. She suggests from spring to October we hold 2 in-person meetings perhaps in various restaurants. Jayna will send out a plan for review and comment. This would encourage all members to get to know each other better.

PRESIDENT JAYNA EXPRESED THANKS TO PP AL HOEFT AND KATHERINE BERGMAN FROM THE R.C. OF REGINA AND ALL OF THE MEMBERS WHO ASSISTED IN PLANNING THE ADVENTURES IN AGRICULTURE PROGRAM. IT PROMISES TO BE A WONDERFUL 'ADVENTURE' FOR ALL!

HAVE A GOOD WEEK EVERYONE!
