ANNOUNCEMENTS
Please take time to visit our wonderful new website and offer Jenna Raimbault your thoughts on any missing information that should be promoted to the public.
Regina Eastview is delighted to welcome our new Rotary Exchange Student, Sofia Mandala, from Italy. Sofia arrived on Sunday evening and today she was on site to welcome DG Fred. Please say "Hello" to Sofia next week.
District Governor Fred Wright's focus within our district this year is to eliminate child poverty.
He stressed the value of closely consulting organizations within the community to build upon what has already been accomplished within the community, determine the "gaps" of services, and increase community participation, inevitably leading to increased membership within the club.

DG Fred Wright with PDG Peter Neufeldt
This morning's breakfast meeting was the first time that DG Fred Wright addressed all 5 Regina Clubs. He took the time to mention his appreciation of the openness of Regina's clubs towards the new direction of Rotary. Meetings like this accomodate the district governer's schedule, opening up the opportunity for working Rotarians to take on more district leadership roles. This year's Rotary International theme, "Rotary Connects the World", builds upon our own past District Governor Peter Neufeldt's emphasis on Rotary's role in establishing positive peace in all aspects of our world.
He also invited the attendees to engage in group discussions to determine what our Regina Clubs are doing well, and what things we would like to change within the Rotary structure.
Jerry Boulanger reports on his tables feedback on "what we do well"!
Things that were mentioned that Regina Clubs are doing well include:
International Projects (Ripple Effects)
Club Participation in events
Youth Programs (Adventures in Ag & RYLA)
Things that were mentioned in which our clubs could improve include:
More hands on projects
Meeting times, frequencies, duration and activities
Rotary's public image
