ANNOUNCEMENTS
Doreen Pankewich and Peter Neufeldt, lead organizers of the At Home Affinity Valentine Gala, announced that meals can now be ordered online. Invite family and friends to participate. Thank you to Richard Schwan and Affinity Credit Union for again being a major sponsor. Gary Carlson announced he will be a $500 sponsor of the Gala.
Just as John Van Koll guarantees nice weather for the Golf Tournament, President Jeff has guaranteed very cold weather for the At Home Valentine Gala so we will all want to stay home and order our meals in advance from the Rotisserie.
Following a welcome to everyone on ZOOM and the Land Acknowledgement by President Jeff, Jeanne Alexander introduced guest speaker, Tamara Tucker. Tamara is the Program Co-ordinator of the Life Long Learning Center, University of Regina centered in the beautiful old, newly renovated College Building. She holds Bachelor and Masters Degrees. Tamara plans non-credit and personal interest classes for all ages. The program provides joy in learning, and an understanding of our community and the world through a host of classes under titles of Social Studies, Arts and Entertainment, Fitness and Wellness, Language, Lifestyle and more. Instructors are former and current University staff as well as experts in the community. Some of the courses have been offered for a long period of time while others are offered on a 6 week basis. The Life Long Learning Center collaborates with the Seniors' University Group (SUG) on various projects--one being the Big Book Sale held annually. Membership in SUG is for adults over 50 years for an annual fee of $30.
The Life Long Learning Center began in 1970 by a group of adults who approached the University of Regina with a proposal which was accepted.
Tamara Tucker
Tamara invited anyone who is interested to visit the website and apply online if interested in any of the classes offered. A small fee is charged. The breadth and scope of classes offered over the years is too numerous to count.

FELLOWSHIP HIGHLIGHTS
PDG Doug Mortin was Sergeant today. If you had read the recent Rotary magazine you would have been eligible for Rotobucks. Some were lucky in knowing the answers. Following is what the Sergeant had to say: Rotobucks for Doreen and Peter N for managing the Valentine gala; Rotobucks to Gary for knowing the date and restaurant; Where was Jennifer Jones in the picture of her in the magazine--in Geneva on world polio day--no one knew; what was she holding?--a stuffed beaver a gift from a Rotary Club in Brazil--since no one knew answers a fine was levied against each member; ways to donate to TRF--many had an answer--cheque, online were two; Ann Grahame and Peter Peters were the two good hearted Rotarians who answered the call to clean out the Delta storage room and sort all the contents. So impressed were we that Eghosa and Gail each donated $10 to the Sergeant; Happy bucks were donated for Richard Schwan and Affinity for the sponsorship of the Gala; Vic Wiebe was thankful that Hans admitted him to the meeting; Gail was happy to hear that Margaret Peters is home and doing well; Allen H. was happy that in response to the many emails he sent out 17 answered and 11 prizes have been received. Thank you to the Sergeant.
