EASTVIEW BUSINESS MEETING!

Today was an opportunity for members to hear of the work of the Board and the Strategic Plan they have developed for our club.  A draft was reviewed by the Club in December.  The comments provided at that time were reviewed by the Committee and a revised draft on the Vision, Mission and Strategic Focus were presented today for further comment.  On a motion put forth by Allen Hillsden these components were approved by the membership as presented today (January 21, 2021) with two abstentions and 1 opposed.  Carried.
The Strategic Focus
Below is our VISION STATEMENT approved at the meeting today.
Above is the MISSION STATEMENT approved for the Rotary club of Regina Eastview.
The Strategic Plan will be our focus for the next 2-3 years and will be reviewed at the end of that time to determine accomplishments and future direction.  From this point on, programs and activities will be developed to meet the goals of the Plan.  It will be important to consider Rotary values as we proceed e.g. communication, teamwork and more..
FELLOWSHIP HIGHLIGHTS

Remember to sign up for the Virtual Valentine Gala
  • Jeff Barber was Sergeant at Arms today and showed great compassion.  Due to the cold and winter (and maybe the pandemic!) he was only looking for happy bucks today.  There were a number: Ann--her famiily treated her to takeout food on the weekend with cupcakes to celebrate her birthday. Peter N. searched deep in his soul for happy bucks and was happy there are no mosquitoes!  Sam, on the same topic, also has a constant reminder when he looks out his window at a park blanketed in snow with a sign noting (Mosquito control!)  Doreen has been testing the website getting it ready for online ticket purchase.  She expects it to be ready by today or tomorrow.. Jean-Marc is happy physio has paid off and he ran 25 km this week.  Peter P., Sam and others noted the inspirational poem given by a young woman, at the inaugural ceremony in the U.S.  Allen Hillsden received a banner for Eastview from the R.C. of Dryden, as we were 1 of 3 clubs to donate our 100% share in the 2020 Polio Plus challenge.  A virtual rotobuck was available to everyone.  Happy bucks can be sent to Doreen.
