ANNOUNCEMENTS
Today, in response to the COVID 19 Pandemic, and for the foreseeable weeks, Regina Eastview will meet via ZOOM;
Guest Speakers have been arranged for the month of April, however, if you have Provincial, National or International persons in mind who have a story we should hear, please contact Jenna and share your suggestion - you would get extra praise if you have the person's contact information;
Shreedhar Jachak advised Rotary Friendship Exchanges for 2020-2021 have been postponed.
After cancelling Regina Eastview meetings for two consecutive weeks in response to COVID 19 isolation requirements, ZOOM technology opened the door to meet virtually without leaving our respective homes. This "new world" meeting format kick-started in fine fashion by having District Governor (DG) Fred Wright in attendance from Kenora, Ontario, who shared his Rotary Club's "transformational" work to address "Child Poverty" in Kenora and area. This project is about addressing child poverty in the community. Realizing some children go to school hungry, because of home circomstances, and are "rescued" there by breakfast and lunch programs, but what about weekends? The Community rallied to address weekend nourishmnet for these children.

One of the great things about our ZOOM meeting was it was taped and you have the opportunity of refreshing your memory with the details of DG Fred's comments. Additionally, if you missed the meeting you can watch (or re-watch) it on your computer or related "devise".
Members of the RC of Kenora
The Kenora community has been mobilized and a rotating group of teams gather each week to prepare for the distribution of some 280 bags of groceries to needy families.
Thank you, DG Fred, for sharing what it means to "make a difference".
The Family of Rotary
We extend our condolences to Doreen and Albert Pankewich on the passing of Doreen's Mother on Monday, March 30th. Please keep Doreen and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Honorary Eastview Rotarian, Richard Downing, is in the Pasqua Hospital and because of COVID 19 cannot be visited. However, he might appreciate a phone call - if you would like to do this please call his wife Jean at 306-545-9498 to ensure Richard is up to receiving phone calls. Richard, we wish you an early return home.
