ANNOUNCEMENTS
32 participants attended the last Regina Eastview ZOOM meeting for this calendar year;
January 7, 2021 is Regina Eastview's next ZOOM meeting;
President Jean-Marc congratulated Peter & Margaret Peters on achieving Major Donor Level 2 status with The Rotary Foundation;
Allen Hillsden announced that he has received information and associated pin from The Rotary Foundation advising that Clarence Krause has achieved Paul Harris Plus 4 status;
Helpful activity updates from last week's Directors Meeting were presented by Directors;
Today's Business Meeting focus on up-dating members on the Club's multi-year Strategic Plan.
Following reports from Rotarians who attend last Thursday's Club Directors meeting, President Jean-Marc led a discussion on the work undertaken by the Club's Strategic Planning Committee. Using power point slides Jean-Marc (which can be viewed by clicking on "the click to watch" above) indicated that what was being presented today was structured on preliminary work done by Past President Jack Wozniak and Jenna Raimbault early in 2020. He indicated, the Club's leadership team (Past President, President, President Elect, Vice President) and PDG Doug Mortin made up the Strategic Planning Committee and presented their initial draft to the Directors at their meeting on December 10th. He indicated the Club's Strategic Plan had to be consistent with the Vision of District 5550 and that of Rotary International.
The Committee assessed what the Club hoped/wished to become - What was the Vision - and articulated this in a sentence. The same approach was taken on the Club's Mission, which addresses, "What we do?", and, "How we do it?". The Committee presented a statement which responded to these matters. Once the Vision and Mission are defined, parameters are established for Goals/Objectives, which must be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely). Mindful of the Strategic Focus of RI and the District which identify membership, membership development, being adaptable and youth, the Committee presented a suggested Strategic Focus for Regina Eastview.
The President invited member response to this draft of the Strategic Plan. Feedback was provided on the Vision and Mission Statement which was appreciated and will be taken into "word smithing" account. There was discussion on the Strategic Focus for the Club and further attention will be directed to the statement at a future meeting.

Important first steps were taken in developing the Club's multi-year Strategic Plan. Peter Neufeldt expressed our collective appreciation to Jean-Marc and the Committee for taking this critical action which prepares us for the road forward.

Doreen Pankewich thankfully advised us that Albert is gaining strength each day as he recuperates from major cardiac surgery last Tuesday;
Peter Neufeldt told us Janet is starting to do a slow dance with her walker following hip surgery;
Kevin Hayes, Paul Daba and Agbor Agbor are celebrating Birthdays in the coming week;

FELLOWSHIP HIGHLIGHTS
Initially it sounded like the Sergeant-At-Arms was going to fine folks who had not handed in their "Ham" money, but there seemed to be some "waffling" on her part - to be safe send money;
Peter Peters was fined for being "cheeky" with President Jean-Marc - Peter was not sure what this meant but agreed if such a misdemeanour occurred restitution would be made;
Happy $'s came from :
Peter Neufeldt and Ann Grahame Christmas Ham "tasters" who declared the hams very good;
Joyce Butler shopped at COSTCO during "senior hours" and was "age checked" at the door - couldn't happen to younger looking "old" person;
Should Joyce and Dennis Butler arise tomorrow morning they will be celebrating their 49th Wedding Anniversary - CONGRATULATIONS!;
Secretary Allen Hillsden flashed a handful of Christmas Greeting cards received from organizations Regina Eastview supports;
As this is the final ROTOR for 2020 I take the opportunity to express my appreciation to Gail Bradley for her dedicated ROTOR assistance;
